Samia pumps in 100m/- for completion of Magufuli Museum

PRESIDENT Samia Suluhu Hassan has contributed 100/m/-to support the completion of the late President John Pombe Magufuli Museum in Chato District, Geita Region.

The announcement was made by Vice President Dr Emmanuel Nchimbi while delivering President Samia’s greetings at the fifth-anniversary commemoration of Magufuli’s death, held today, March 17, at the late president’s residence in Chato.

Dr. Nchimbi said President Samia has been closely following the museum’s construction. Upon learning that an additional 100m/- was needed to complete the project, she decided to release the funds.

“Recognizing and honoring his contribution, the President has been closely monitoring the construction of Magufuli’s museum here in Chato. She was informed that `100m/- was required to finish the museum, and she has provided the full amount to complete it,” he said.

He added: “I am happy to announce that President Samia has released all the funds needed to complete this work. I wish to thank the Magufuli family, especially Mama Janeth Magufuli, for involving us in this commemoration, and all those who made the preparations possible. I urge everyone to dedicate themselves and work hard as one way to honor our leader.”

Dr. Nchimbi further stated that President Samia sent her assurance that, although Magufuli is no longer physically with them, he remains present in spirit, and her government will continue to honor him and carry forward his legacy.
