Shanghai in China — TANZANIA has signed an agreement with China which will see the Asian nation providing a 550 million US dollar (over 900bn/-) concessional loan for construction of Tanzania Peoples' Defence Forces (TPDF) houses across the country.

Capital Market authorities have approved a proposal by the Nation Media Group (NMG) to cross list its shares on the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE), giving a chance for Tanzanians to own shares in East Africa’s biggest media house.
