knowledge and networks they gained from strategic leadership training to strengthen cooperation between the public and private sectors to boost economic growth and safeguard national interests.Dr Akili made the call in Dar es Salaam while officiating the closing ceremony of a one-week short course organized by the National Defence College in Kunduchi.
The training brought together 72 senior leaders from the public sector, private sector, and security institutions.
He said that in the current environment of global economic competition, it is important for leaders to continue learning and collaborating on strategic issues to strengthen economic development and national security.

“It is the responsibility of leaders to ensure that the knowledge they acquire is used to build strong cooperation between the public and private sectors for national development,” Dr Akili said.
Speaking on behalf of participants from the private sector, the Chief Executive Officer of the Tanzania National Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, Oscar Kissanga, said the training had provided participants with a broader understanding of strategic leadership and the importance of strengthening collaboration between the public and private sectors.
He added that the program offered participants an opportunity to learn, exchange experiences, and build networks among leaders from different sectors, a step expected to support economic and social development in the country.

The course brought together senior leaders from various government institutions, the private sector, and security agencies with the aim of building a shared understanding of strategic issues related to national development and security.
