The Institute of Certified Secretaries has awarded NIC and ABC banks Finance and Investments trophies in the just-ended Champions of Governance Awards 2018.

NIC Bank emerged first while first runners up ABC Bank defended its
position for the fifth time with the judges citing its heavy investments
in modernising IT infrastructure that facilitated innovation of new
products and processes.
Insurer ICEA was the second runners up.
ABC
Group managing director Shamaz Savani said the award reaffirmed
commitment to the principles of transparency, integrity and
accountability which safeguard customers and employ efficient practices
in providing quality service and products.
"It is a
reflection of who we are as a corporate entity. This recognition is a
result of our observance of an open culture that transcends all our
daily activities and interactions at all levels,” said Mr Savani.
The
awards promote good governance practices and inspire professionals to
embrace the principles of responsibility, accountability, fairness and
transparency.
The statutory institute represents certified professional secretaries in the country.
