This has been revealed by Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa at the Parliament when he was officially closing this year’s budget session, in Dodoma.

He said the government is set to use 4.4bil/- for the satellite blood banks in Manyara, Katavi, Rukwa, Ruvuma, Njombe, and Tanga regions.
Other regions include Arusha, Coast, Singida, Songea, Geita and Simiyu.
Majaliwa explained that the project aims at curbing maternal deaths that are highly caused by shortage of blood in health facilities during delivery.
