President Uhuru Kenyatta has warned National Super Alliance
presidential candidate Raila Odiga against fuelling violence through
demonstrations.
Speaking in Chuka town, Tharaka-Nithi
County, on Monday, Mr Kenyatta said Mr Odinga will be in trouble if the
protests pushing for reforms of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries
Commission result to violence.
"If your team touches even a banana of a woman on the street, [you] will be met by the full force of the law," Mr Kenyatta said.
CAMPAIGN
He said the Opposition has the right to hold demonstrations but they must be peaceful.
Nevertheless, he criticised his October 26 opponent for focusing his energies on protests instead of campaigning.
The Jubilee presidential candidate said he will trounce his competitor in the rerun.
DEFEAT
Deputy President William Ruto further told the coalition to allow the IEBC conduct its business independently.
He equally expressed confidence of being victorious.
"We defeated you in the annulled August 8 polls and we will do the same on October 26," Mr Ruto said.
