DT Dobie hires former CMC boss as Kenya CEO

Ian Middleton, a former executive of motor dealer CMC, has replaced the long-serving Zarak Khan as the new managing director at DT Dobie Kenya.
The change in management at the company, which takes effect today, will see the former managing director who has served the company for the last 36 years take over as the DT Dobie Kenya group chairman.
“I have known DT Dobie as a colleague and competitor from different markets in Africa but I’m now happy to be working with them from Kenya,” said Mr Middleton.
He has worked at CMC Automobiles in Tanzania as chief executive.
Mr Middleton has also held positions of general manager, Tata Motors in Zambia and managing director, Alliance Autos Nigeria Limited. He holds an from Oxford Brookes University.
DT Dobie Kenya is one of CFAO Automotive units.
