ISSA YUSSUF in Zanzibar
TWO fishermen have died while others injured following heavy sea waves that stroke their fishing vessel when casting the fishing nets.

North Unguja Regional Police Commander (RPC), Hasona Ramadhan, Taufiq, named the deceased as 45-year old Mohd Mapapa Mussa and Ngwali Mossi Kibete (36), both Kipandoni residents. She said the injured have been hospitalised at Kivunge Hospital in North Unguja.
Those still battling for their lives in hospital are Haji Mawazo Machano (32), resident of Upenja and Silima Haji Jaku (50), from Kisongon in Kiwengwa sea water. The incident, ACP Taufiq said, occurred in the early hours of yesterday.
The eyewitnesses said the fishermen arrived at dawn and started casting the nets, but swiftly a strong sea wave came from the opposite side, slapping them and killing two. The RPC reminded fishermen to take all precautions while fishing to avoid strong waves.
