Fire razes down car due to welder carelessness

 A FIRE gutted down a car that was undergoing exhaust pipe repair at a garage in Tabata-Mangumi, Ilala, Dar es Salaam today.

The car owner, Leonard Johnson Pilla, told 'Daily News Online,' that he believed the fire was caused by careless mechanic when welding a broken exhaust pipe.
The car, Toyota Escudo Grand, was reduced to ashes despite good Samaritans effort to fight the fire using sands drawn from road sideways.
By the time city fire and rescue unit arrived from Lugalo, the car was already reduced to ashes.
