Industry Minister to grace ‘Auto fest’ in Dar

MINISTER of Industries, Trade and Investment, Mr Charles Mwijage, is expected to grace 9th Tanzania Automobile festival ‘Auto fest’ to be held on 28 to 30 October, this year, at Biafra Ground, Kinondoni District, in Dar es Salaam Region, which is being hosted by Vision Investment.

Speaking in Dar es Salaam yesterday, coordinator of the festival, Mr Ally Nchanaga, said that since its conception in 2008 the Auto fest has now become an important calendar event in the motor industry, being the only show that brings motoring enthusiasts together.
“It is a comprehensive show that includes a display of passenger cars, commercial vehicles, motorcycles, vehicle bodies, parts, machinery and tools as well as automobile related services,” Mr Nchahaga said. He added that the Auto festival has been endorsed by the Ministry of Industries, Trade and Investment in the drive to industrialise Tanzania.
He said that this year festival will attract many stakeholders as the new element is blood donation as the drive working towards supplementing the blood reserve bank. “We invite all stakeholders in the city to attend the show that will bring together hundreds of the latest motorcycle brands.
The festival will help to promote industry sector in the country,” he said. For his part, the Tanzania Standard (Newspapers) Limited (TSN) Sales and Marketing Manager, Mr Januarius Maganga, said that TSN has decided to be part of the sponsor of the festival in order to improve the industry sector in the country for the development of the nation.
“We believe that our contribution would help to bring together various industry stakeholders and we hope the festival will be successfully,” he said. The event is sponsored by various stakeholders, including Digital trade mart, Superdoll, CFAO motors, Mgen Insurance, LAKE OIL, TSN, Tidwa Medical, SAMSUNG, among others.
