Jubilee Holdings picks new CEO

Ex-military man Dietmar Raich was Friday appointed as Jubilee Holdings Limited Group chief executive to oversee operations in five African countries.
The publicly listed company’s Board Chairman Mr Nizar Juma said Mr Raich was chosen due to his thorough understanding of insurance, in addition to finance and management of large organizations.
“I have no doubt that he is the right person to take the helm at JHL as JHL enters its 79th year in operations in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi and Mauritius,’ he said.
Prior to this appointment, Mr Raich served as the company’s regional CEO for the Life Business, where he provided strategic direction and business results for Jubilee Insurance’s Life business.
Mr Raich expressed gratitude saying he saw enormous potential in Jubilee growing its insurance business across its markets.
The new Group CEO has over 34 years of insurance industry and management experience having worked previously as Head of Global Life & Health - Strategy and Development at Allianz in Munich, Germany before being posted to Bahrain as the General Manager & Chief Financial Officer at Allianz Middle East & South Asia.
Mr Raich who served in the military is a certified Business Coach holding an Economics degree from the University of Stuttgart and a diploma in Business Administration from the same University. He replaces the Mr Patrick Tumbo from the top position
