First, it was #BabaWhileYouWereAway, now it is
#ThingsKwaleMenShouldCane. Once again, Raila Odinga has managed to be
the topic of trending conversation on Twitter.
Kenyans
on Twitter (or KOTs as they are popularly referred to), are having a
field day chirping witty and often hilarious Tweets using the hashtag
#ThingsKwaleMenShouldCane, which is based on Monday’s incident when a
man attacked Raila in Kwale.
Cord's
Okoa Kenya rally in Kinango market in Kwale County was on Monday
briefly interrupted after the elderly man emerged from the crowd and
attacked Raila and Kwale Governor Salim Mvurya using a walking stick.
The
man hit Raila and Governor Mvurya twice each on the back moments after
the leaders had joined a dancing troupe for the traditional sengenya
dance.
From fashion blunders to politicians to rogue matatu drivers, Kenyans seem to have rich ideas on who Kwale men should cane.
