The airline has introduced own inflight entertainment television service named KQ TV.
The station will air live News and Sports
subscription channels, keeping trend with international airlines which
offer similar services.
“With the ongoing introduction of new and modern
fleet of aircrafts, we aim to complement the experience with an inflight
entertainment service that will give our passengers an innovative new
way to enjoy live entertainment content while on board,” said Kenya
Airways chief executive officer Titus Naikuni in a statement.
He said the in-flight entertainment service will be available across the airline’s network of 64 destinations.
The introduction of the service comes at a time
when the national carrier is planning to rebrand and revamp its cabin
services with the newly acquired B777-300 and B787 fleets.
KQ acquired the planes early this year to boost its plans for starting more long-haul flights.
It expects to receive 10 new aircraft this financial year.
