Mombasa County women representative Mishi Mboko is expected to plead to hate speech-related charges on Monday next week.
The court deferred her plea taking after it emerged that she was out of the country.
Ms
Mboko is alleged to have uttered words which according to the police
amount to incitement to violence and disobedience of law contrary to
Section 91(1) of the penal code. (READ: Arrest MP for hate speech, says Tobiko)
