PRETORIA
President Uhuru Kenyatta on Monday afternoon arrived in Pretoria, South Africa for a two day official visit.
The plane carrying the President and his delegation touched down at Waterkloof Airforce Base shortly after 4:00 pm local time.
He
was received by senior South Africa government officials and Kenyans
living in Pretoria led by Kenya’s High Commissioner to South Africa Amb.
Patrick Wamoto.
The President will be attending the
Joint Southern African Development Community (SADC) and the
International Conference on the Great Lakes Region (ICGLR) Summit of
Heads of State and Government.
The Summit, to be held
at OR Tambo conference centre, will discuss the new political, economic,
cultural and social challenges facing Africa in general and

The
President has been accompanied to the summit by the Cabinet Secretary
for Foreign Affairs and International Trade Amb. Amina Mohamed.
President
Kenyatta is on Tuesday expected to meet with Kenyans living in
Johannesburg and on Wednesday will travel to Gaborone, Botswana for
talks with the President Seretse Khama Ian Khama before returning to
