Michelle Obama goes for classic dress while Mama Salma Kikwete keeps it all African

Dar es Salaam. A few minutes past 2 o’clock yesterday, Air Force One landed at the Julius Nyerere Airport in Tanzania. The highly anticipated arrival was marked by dances, jubilation and a heightened security.


But as soon the First Family of the United States, appeared from the doors of the prestigious airplane, all eyes were on them. Firstborn daughter Maliaand the President alighted from the plane walking hand in hand and walked to the red carpet.


The girls took to the monochrome look with Malia going for the comfortable pants, white top, a waterfall jacket and flat black shoes. Younger sister Sasha was the lady in a black and white tunic dress. Known to rock eclectic fashion with ease and simplicity, Mrs Obama looked the part with a simple yet catchy ensemble. The colourful dress with shades of pink, purple and orange was paired with a pink cropped cardigan and her signature kitten heels to complement the look.
