DAR ES SALAAM: THE Njombe Regional Commissioner, Anthony Mtaka, has visited the Tanzania Standard Newspapers (TSN) in Dar es Salaam to discuss a media partnership in preparation for the May Day 2026 celebrations.
The visit aims to leverage media platforms to communicate economic opportunities available in Njombe Region, particularly in green economy sectors such as avocados, tea, and forestry.

Mtaka stated that the region has shifted its strategy for May Day celebrations to focus more on promoting investment and encouraging public participation in development activities. He was accompanied during the visit by Regional Administrative Secretary Dr Stephen Nindi, Wanging’ombe District Executive Director Dr Peter Maiga Nyanja, and District Administrative Secretary Veronica Sanga.
Through this collaboration, TSN is expected to support the promotion of Njombe Region at the national level, attract investors, and enhance public awareness of the available opportunities.
