Government for the implementation of various development projects in the 2025/2026 financial year.Magu District Commissioner, Ms Jubilate Lawuo, stated this recently while submitting a report on the implementation of the Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) Election Manifesto for the five-year period 2020–2025, as well as a report on implementation from January to December 2025, to the Magu District Political Committee.
In the health sector, Ms Lawuo said that from January to December 2025 the council has implemented projects worth 1.6bn/-.
“The projects include the construction of infrastructure at Nyashimba dispensary, as well as health centres in Nyanguge, Lutale, Nyashigwe, Magereza, Kitumba, Inolelo, Jinjimili, Nyamahanga and Sagani,” she said.
She stated that the funds have also been used to purchase medical equipment for health centres in Kisesa, Nyanguge, Kahangara, Shishani, Kabila and Lugeye.
Ms Lawuo said that in the primary education sector, the council has implemented projects worth 1.7bn/- including the construction of 57 classrooms, completion of 15 classrooms, construction of three teachers’ houses and the building of 146 toilet facilities in various primary schools.
Chairman of Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) Magu District, Mr Enos Kalambo, commended the good progress of development projects.

He urged council executives to continue managing development projects effectively to ensure they are completed on time and bring tangible benefits to citizens.
During the visit, the committee inspected the construction of new secondary schools at Jinjimili and Bugumangala, as well as classroom construction at Muungano Primary School.
The committee also visited the Sagani–Mwatelesha– Kinango road construction project in Kandawe Ward.
In addition, members of the committee inspected the Nyang’hanga–Iseni piped water project from the Bugabu source, which is expected to benefit 13 villages once completed.
The committee also visited and inspected the construction of a mother and child building at Nyanguge Health Centre.
