THE 2023 International Finance Awards has recognised Diamond Trust Bank Tanzania PLC (DTB) as an industry leader in ‘Most Innovative Alternative Banking Channels’ in Tanzanian banking category.
It has emerged the winner in this category given the lenders’ robust array of alternative banking channels; conveniently enabling customers to transact off-the branches and beyond the normal bank business hours.
Addressing Bank staff members during the award acceptance ceremony in Dar es Salaam over the weekend DTB Chief Executive Officer, Ravneet Chowdhury, said the award for the ‘Most Innovative Alternative Banking Channels’ category is a true testament of the positive customer journey across alternative channels comprised of mobile banking suite available in both Application and USSD.
“The internet banking and the Point of Sales [POS] ecosystem, have all been revamped with a clear focus to offer safety, convenience to our customers. Our is focused in re-engineering its internal processes and procedures to enhancing service standards and customer experience in alternative channels.” he said.
According to him, these channels can enable customers to enjoy a host of services that includes merchant services, billers and wallets, facilitate withdrawals. & deposits, balance enquiry and mini statements, transfers funds, cheque book ordering and enquiries on forex rates.He added: “Our commitment for the best service delivery standards is deeply rooted in our core value of promoting excellence to our customers. This is a culture we have fully embedded in our day-to-day business operations and we are grateful for our customers trusting us in this journey.”
