Trade Minister tables 110.8bn/- spending plan

DODOMA: The Minister for Industry and Trade, Dr. Ashatu Kijaji, has tabled her ministry’s budget estimates for the 2024/25 fiscal year, seeking lawmakers’ approval for a total spending plan of 110.8bn/-

.

Tabling her ministry’s plan in Parliament on Tuesday, the Minister outlined six major priorities for implementation, which include exemplary and strategic projects in the country.

Dr. Kijaji told the House that her ministry plans to strengthen the capacity of industrial production and service provision by improving infrastructure, creating a conducive environment, and enhancing the investment climate in industry and business.

Other priorities include stimulating people’s development by improving projects and programs in the economic and social sectors through education and skills training.

She also mentioned conducting market intelligence for products and services produced in the country for strategic and international markets, as well as stimulating the growth of the private sector in the country.
