DAR ES SALAAM: THE Jubilee Allianz General Insurance has provided various equipment to Mwananyamala Referral Hospital to help the malnourished children ward.
The aid includes weighing scales for children, sugar, milk, for making nutrients, hand sink and chairs.
Receiving the help at the hospital recently, Nurse Incharge Malnourished Children’s Ward, Ms Atila Mpwage said the equipment will help the 25 children who are currently in the ward.
“We are grateful to Jubilee Allianz for their support as this sugar will help us prepare nutrition for these children and the scale will help us to feed the kids according to their weight rather than making estimates.
“These children should be given food according to their age and weight, so the weight scale will help the labor wards as well as for the malnourished children ward,” said Ms Mpwage.

Ms Mpagwe said sometimes they can contain many children up to 40 with nutrient deficiency especially when their order is delayed in delivering.
“The support has come at the right time because those malnourished kids need to have a balanced diet to help them to grow accordingly since they are supposed to get food to build their body as well as brain,” said Ms Mpagwe adding we thank them for being able to give back to the community.
Speaking during the handing over of the aid the Jubilee Allianz General Insurance Chief Executive Officer, Mr Dipankar Acharya said the support is just the beginning so he promised to continue to cooperate with the government in giving back to the community.
“As insurance stakeholders we consider the importance of returning to society part of our income to develop society. We have started here at Mwananyamala but we promise to continue to reach others in various areas,” said Mr Acharya.
Mr Acharya urged other stakeholders to return to society since many of Tanzaniams were in need.
