DAR ES SALAAM: President Samia Suluhu Hassan is at Julius Nyerere International Convention Centre JNICC in Dar es Salaam this morning ready to launch the Personal Data Protection Commission.
Enactment of Personal Data Protection Act, 2022 paved the way for the establishment of the Commission.
The act provides principles of protection of personal data so as to establish minimum requirements for the collection and processing of personal data; to provide for establishment of Personal Data Protection Commission; to provide for improvement of protection of personal data processed by public and private bodies; and to provide for matters connected therewith.
