DAR ES SALAAM: President Samia Suluhu Hassan has allocated one day each month to personally listen to citizens’ concerns at the offices of the Chama cha Mapinduzi (CCM) in Dar es Salaam, Dodoma, or Zanzibar.

As the Head of State and the national chairperson of the ruling CCM, President Samia Suluhu Hassan aims to engage directly with citizens.

CCM’s Ideology and Publicity Secretary, Paul Makonda, announced this initiative in Dar es Salaam on Tuesday.

He explained that these meetings will provide citizens with the opportunity to share their challenges directly with the President.

Makonda emphasized that President Samia Suluhu Hassan’s decision was inspired by the practice of the former President, Late Ali Hassan Mwinyi. During his tenure as both President of the country and chairperson of the party, Mwinyi regularly set aside one day each month to meet with citizens at Lumumba.

Makonda described this as a rare and unique opportunity for citizens to engage with their leader.
