DAR ES SALAAM: THE Oryx Gas Tanzania Ltd (OGTL) and NMB Bank have launched a strategic partnership in ensuring that clean cooking energy solution is accessible to
everyone.Our distribution network together with NMB vast outreach will bring another milestone to Tanzanians getting our products easier, faster and conveniently.
Over the years OGTL has been pioneer in promoting gas usage in the country, most recently from the year 2021.
“We have been coordinating our effort to support the government’s agenda endorsed by President Dr Samia Suluhu Hassan who expressed her wishes that by year 2032, 80 per cent of Tanzanians should be using clean cooking energy,” Mr Benoit Araman, OGTL’s Managing Director stated yesterday in Dar es Salaam at an event to launch the partnership.
“Today we are witnessing another partner (NMB) joining forces with us in achieving our president wishes and the dream of most Tanzanians,” he added.
He said the company’s distributors and exclusive shops available all over the country will be ready to serve all NMB customers who will be using their bank cards or other merchant services to pay for gas.
Oryx Gas Tanzania is on a major expansion journey of spreading clean cooking energy initiatives throughout the country.
Through these initiatives, Oryx Gas wants to eradicate the use of charcoal and firewood which pose health risks and harmful to the environment.
He explained that under the partnership between NMB and Oryx Gas Oryx dealers and exclusive shops will be able to provide professional and more digitalised services to final consumers.
This partnership not only focuses to improve the trading system with the dealers and dhops, but will also offer lucrative deals and offers to the end consumer as well.
Oryx Energies is one of Africa’s largest and longest-established independent providers of oil and gas products and services.
Established since 1999 in Tanzania, its business operates through four main companies in Tanzania.
The company specialises in the storage and distribution of fuels, with a strong presence in the retail segment and supplier of choice to the industrial and mining sectors.
He said the OGTL will continue investing and expanding its services presence and partnerships to many more locations in Tanzania.
