Invitation to Virtual Press Conference

BONN, Germany, November 20, 2020/ -- Dear All

We look back on a year like none of us ever thought possible. In 2020, the Coronavirus kept and still

keeps the world in suspense and changed everything. Countries everywhere went into lockdown, bans and restrictions made travel almost impossible and uncertainty pervades societies. Given that globalization already faced headwinds in the past, this year’s DHL (https://www.DPDHL.com) Global Connectedness Index examines the effects of the Covid-19 storm on the state of globalization. More than ever before, the insights and facts in this report – which poses a health check for globalization based on flows of trade, capital, information, and people – are essential to make informed business and public policy decisions in times of a major crisis.

We warmly invite you to join our virtual media conference on the Global Connectedness Index 2020 to explore these insights: John Pearson, CEO of DHL Express, will present how commerce has changed and global trade has developed during a crisis that hits the world. Additionally, Steven A. Altman, NYU Stern School of Business, lead author of the DHL Global Connectedness Index, will provide more in-depth analysis of the current state of globalization and the effects of Covid-19 on global flows as key indicators of a connected world:
