How to verify the quality of meat products in the market

Every year, Kenyans are estimated to consume about 390,000 metric tonnes of meat, about 70 per cent of which is sold in informal markets. Often, questions around the quality of the meat products circulating in the market have arisen with many consumers unclear as to how to verify this.
