Tanzania: Crackdown on unofficial ports pays off in Tanga as revenue increases

The port collects S12 billion in six months of the 2018/19 financial year as compared to Sh6 billion collected in the whole of 2017/18Revenue from dhows that dock at Tanga Port has increased tremendously in three years after intensification of efforts to lure businessmen from the use of unofficial ports in the region.
