Vehicle and Equipment Leasing Limited (Vaell) has appointed Bertha Mvati as its managing director for Kenya, taking over from Paul Njeru who has been leading the family-owned company since 2006.
In a statement Monday, the regional asset leasing firm’s chairman, Joseph Kiiza, said the appointment took effect on March 4.
Ms Mvati joins the firm at a time when it is set to go public as it plans to launch new products in the vehicle leasing market.
“I am looking forward to building on the efforts made by everyone in the company over the past few years, cementing our hard-earned reputation for service quality and working to grow the business from what is now a very sound base,” she said.
Prior to her recruitment Ms Mvati was the business manager at Zohari Leasing Limited, a vehicle leasing subsidiary of Centum Investments
