Kampala. Monitor Publications Friday launched an online wedding magazine, My Wedding, which will provide reliable information on tips, life stories, experiences and advice for people intending to wed or have introduction ceremonies.

According to Ms Carol Beyanga, the Managing Editor for Digital Content, the stories will focus on providing unique experiences and solutions to problems or difficulties people face as they plan for their wedding.
She added that while the website’s primary focus will be more about issues people look at before and during the wedding, it will also provide couples with insights into what to expect after the wedding day.
“While the wedding day is something one should look forward to, it is also important for couples to think about the future. This is why we will have stories talking about what next, after the wedding day,” Ms Beyanga said.
Ms Sarah Nalule Walakira, the head of marketing at Nation Media Group Uganda, said the online magazine is a solution oriented source of content for both those intending to get married and the marrieds.
“Many young women look forward to walking down the aisle someday. The men also look forward to having wonderful women in their lives. So, My Wedding has information on the entire process of the wedding,” Ms Nalule said.
She added: “Because it is an era where most young people are always on their gadgets, we thought it is proper to put the magazine online.”
The magazine found at www.mywedding.co.ug will provide information on everything one wants to know about weddings including wedding attire, catering services, decorations, reception venues and cakes among others.
“The online wedding magazine is meant to provide solutions and I believe it will become the ‘Google of weddings’ in this country because it has everything one needs,” Ms Nalule said.
