PRIME Minister Kassim Majaliwa has reiterated that Tanzania is a leading nation among Sub-saharan countries that have an inclusive economy.

The Premier said today when launching the third annual empowerment forum in Dodoma organized by the National Economic Empowerment Council (NEEC).
He explained that the achievement was contributed by government’s effort to open doors for entrepreneurial opportunities in the country that has led to three million new businesses being started every year.
Mr Majaliwa also said the efforts in empowering Tanzanians economically should go along with empowering youth to self-employment. “When we strengthen our industrial economy, it will increase space for employment in the country,” he said.
The Prime Minister mentioned a challenge of people taking loans from NEEC and completely fail or delay to pay, which hinders others to also get loans for their businesses.
He then ordered the council to follow up on all the outstanding debts from people and ensure all loans are paid come September 30 this year, so that other entrepreneurs could also be issued with loans.
