Chinese President, Indian PM Modi to visit Rwanda


Chinese President Xi Jinping is expected to visit the country on a two-day visit from July 22 to 23rd, the State Minister for Foreign Affairs Olivier Nduhungirehe has confirmed.

Chinese President Xi Jinping is expected to visit the country on a two-day visit from July 22 to 23rd, the State Minister for Foreign Affairs Olivier Nduhungirehe has confirmed.

Nduhungirehe who was addressing members of the press on Friday said that the state visit by the Chinese leader is set to further strengthen ties between the two nations.
He said that during the visit, the two countries will sign new agreements outlining further areas of cooperation.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Filipe Nyusi of Mozambique are also expected to in the country in the coming days, according to the minister.
His Excellency President Paul Kagame was in China early 2017 where he held bilateral talks with his Chinese counterpart President Xi Jinping.
President Kagame has also visited India twice in the last couple of years with an aim to further strengthen ties between the two countries.
The national carrier, RwandAir already flies to the Indian commercial capital Mumbai while it is expected to start commercial flights to the Chinese city of Shanghai in the near future.
