Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) staff risk dismissal for engaging in corrupt deals and delaying customers on queues.
This
follows the signing of a service charter between six ministries and
government agencies aimed at improving service delivery and creating
good customer experience at the airport.
Travellers
have been raising complaints over slow pace of clearance. Transport
secretary James Macharia said the government will not tolerate
malpractices that affect service delivery at the facility.
“All
employees will be expected to deliver and ensure the charter is
implemented. We are not going to tolerate any form of corruption or
behaviour that will hamper operations at the airport,” said Mr Macharia.
