TIRA gets new boss

PRESIDENT John Magufuli has appointed Dr Baghayo Abdallah Saqware as Commissioner for Tanzania Insurance Regulatory Authority (TIRA).

In a statement issued in Dar es Salaam yesterday by Chief Secretary (CS), Ambassador John Kijazi, said the appointment is with immediate effect. Dr Saqware who was a lecturer at the Institute of Finance Management (IFM) is taking over from Mr Israel Kamuzora who has retired.
Meanwhile, Dr Magufuli has appointed Ms Blandina Salome Joseph Nyoni as Chairperson of the National Housing Corporation (NHC)’s Board of Directors.

Ms Nyoni fills the position left vacant by Ms Zakia Hamdan Meghji who has completed her tenure. Ms Nyoni's appointment is effective from yesterday.
