ARUSHA Regional Commissioner (RC) recently visited the home of the late Edward Moringe Sokoine, who was Tanzanian's Prime Minister during the regime of Mwalimu Julius Nyerere.
Paying the bereaved family the visit
over the weekend, Mr Gambo talked to the wife of the premier
who passed
away some 33 years ago in a road accident in Dakawa area in Morogoro
Region.
Consoling the family members and
neighbours, the RC said the visit was in line with recognizing the
patriotism and heroic gesture the premier showed to fight to liberate
the country, adding that it is a trait young leaders should emulate
while reviewing their leadership skills to serve the helpless citizens
in need of justice and integrity in their midst.
“We need to leave marks as positions in remembrance of our leaders who served our people just like them”, he pointed out.
