Water tanks makers told to adapt to changes or perish

THE Minister for Industry, Trade and Investment, Mr Charles Mwijage, has advised local manufacturers of water storage equipment to cope with the government industrialisation drive by improving quality and quantity of their products.

This was during the awards handing over ceremony for the SIMTANK sell and Win campaign in Dar es Salaam over the weekend where this year’s fortune went to Ms Fatina Said of FMJ hardware and Mr Rama Jurijs from Kamata Co Ltd, who won the first category Car reward.
“SILAFRICA needs to continue conquering new markets and respond to their customer needs by manufacturing SIMTANK units that can cut across both industrial and household use,” said Minister Mwijage.
This year’s winners have made it all away from selling challenges and managed to thump on some criteria like accomplishment of selling targets, timely payments and loyalty.
Mr Mwijage asked SIMTANK dealers to make it possible for village dwellers to have water storage units which are modern and more durable to the traditional pots made of clay soil.
While addressing the winners, the minister advised SILAFRICA to come with a programme to educate people on how to collect and store water during rainy seasons so that they couldn’t ran of water during dry seasons.
Responding to the minister’s plea SILAFRICA Tanzania Ltd, Country Head, Mr Alpesh Patel said, this year’s contest have been on a roll of seven begging categories showing SILAFRICA’s gratitude and appreciation to its dealers for their loyalty and sales efforts.
Also as part of the need they will roll out an education program on water storage to area with acute water problems. “Today, as SILAFRICA, we are happy to handover two cars to our esteemed dealers who are the winners of 1st category and also for second category.
This goes along with the annual improvement and addition of other categories as of today categories are summing up to seven, which is from car winners to hamper winners” said Mr Alpesh Patel.
After being revealed a top winner, M. Fatina Said, on her thanking note, commended SILAFRICA for acknowledging and rewarding the efforts of their dealers, the spirit that goes in the same vain with their dedication in serving millions of Tanzanians.
SIMTANK brand was launched in Tanzania 20 years ago has purposes of providing clean, safe, and durable water storage units in Tanzania and Kenya
