MEDDY MULISA in Bukoba
INVIGILATORS selected to supervise the ongoing Form Four national examinations have been warned to avoid cheating to enable the nation to get good and committed future leaders.

The Kagera Regional Education Officer, Aloyce Kamamba, made the revelation here yesterday, adding that a total of 13,362 students including 6,810 girls and 6,552 boys were sitting the exams.
“Invigilators should avoid cheating because they have a role to play in shaping the students to become committed future leaders and I urge the students to also remain calm,” he said.
He advised the headteachers to have a culture of giving frequent aptitude tests to students in Standard Seven, Form One and Form Four to sharpen their skills before they attempt national examinations.
“Such tests are essential to enable students to prepare well for the coming exams and avoid exam fevers, he said. In another development, he urged parents to ensure that they routinely make a close follow-up of their students’ school attendances to enable them know their weakness and ways to address them.
According to Mr Kamamba, a total of 20,423 students in Kagera Region sat for the National Form Four exams last year which started on November 2-7.
