TBS Director General Mr Joseph Masikitiko
THE Minister for Industry, Trade and Investment, Mr Charles Mwijage, has suspended Tanzania Bureau of Standard (TBS) Director General, Mr Joseph Masikitiko, pending investigations over administrative improprieties.
According to a statement signed by the
Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment,
Professor Adolf Mkenda, the minister has also directed the suspension of
the bureau’s Manager for Planning, Finance and Administration, Mr
Emmanuel Ntelya.
The minister has appointed Head of
Chemistry Department at the University of Dar es Salaam, Dr Egid Mubofu,
as Acting Director General.
