Bank of Africa has raided Cooperative Bank for its latest recruit to drive its retail and Treasury business.
Former Cooperative Bank’s chief manager, corporate banking and Trade Finance Elizabeth Ndemo now joins BOA as deputy managing director (DMD), business development.
The bank’s country managing director Ronald Marambii said the move was in line with the bank’s focus on its key development pillars and strengthening of its market position.
“With this in mind, Bank of Africa in Kenya has appointed Ms Elizabeth Ndemo as the deputy managing director business development. Some of her responsibilities include enterprise banking, retail banking, treasury, and marketing among others. Her in-depth knowledge of the local banking industry and expertise in corporate, trade finance and retail banking is a strategic move in the bank’s growth strategy,” Mr Marambii.
The bank also disclosed a reassignment of yet another female boss, Jane Kilonzo to head its operations and support departments.
Ms Kilonzo the new deputy managing director (DMD), operations and support has served BOA for more than 10 years and has been in charge of other key roles in the bank including Head of Audit and Head of Risk & Compliance.
BOA Group has over 30 years of presence in 17 African countries Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi, Rwanda, Ethiopia and Djibouti.
