Microsoft has introduced a new cloud
infrastructure to enable business owners deploy cost-saving information
technology (IT) solutions that would otherwise be used on equipment.
According to the global tech firm, Microsoft Azure will extend business-consumer connection for a growing list of customers.
Organisations
and businesses will be in a position to connect with consumers
mobile-first to serve the estimated 29.6 million Kenyan internet users.
Mobile data subscriptions contribute to 99 per cent of the total
subscriptions.
CLOUD TECHNOLOGY
Microsoft's
new cloud technology seeks to address mass data storage and management
challenges such as data loss and backlog that often causes system
downtimes.
Microsoft Azure operates on new programming language to improve business productivity.
“As
data and devices continue to proliferate, there is vast opportunity for
businesses to tap into their data to make their applications more
intelligent. Through our offerings across applications, data and
internet of things (IoT), and cloud infrastructure, we are enabling
companies to innovate more easily and rapidly, using the tools and
platforms they know and love,” said Microsoft's executive Scott Guthrie.
With
the biggest industry concern being compromise of security through use
of cloud computing, Microsoft has announced security centre to enable to
help clients manage their entire security from end to end.
Azure has a broad range of industry certifications in security.
COST SOLUTION
Cloud
computing technology eliminates the need for organisations and
businesses to invest in costly hardware, software and networking
equipment as well as labour.
“Microsoft will take all
the costs that come with setting up IT infrastructure. All a business
needs to do is utilise this infrastructure to run their solutions and
services by paying a minimal fee towards such use,” said Paul Roy,
Microsoft’s technical developer.
