Former US President Bill Clinton and his daughter, Chelsea
Clinton, arrived in Kenya on Friday for a visit to charity projects in
the country.
Mr Clinton arrived at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport early Friday and was received by Deputy President William Ruto.
A
statement from the Clinton Foundation sent to newsrooms states that the
Clintons will visit several Clinton Foundation projects in the country
on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
On Friday, Ms Clinton
will visit Mbagathi District Hospital in Nairobi to see a project on
educating families about treating diarrhoea and later meet her father
and Kenyans to talk about the participation of women in development.
On
Saturday, they will be in Kasarani, Nairobi, to talk about investing in
women and later on visit a project In Nairobi they support on
addressing climate change.
The Clintons will travel to Samburu National Park on Sunday to see work in progress on the prevention of elephant poaching.
They
started the your in Tanzania, where they landed on Wednesday and
proceeded to inspect Ngongwa Anchor Farm, a farming project under the
Clinton Foundation.
These visits are part of a larger trip by the Clintons that will see them also visit Liberia and Morocco.
