MTWARA resident, Mr Ismail Said Mohamed,
secured a brand new Toyota Brevis, after emerging a top winner in Bank
of Africa (BoA) Tanzania customer’s deposits drive.
In the final draw of the promotion
dubbed “Deposit and Win” held in Dar es Salaam, several other clients of
BoA walked home with various prizes including a motor bike, tablets,
smartphones, and shopping vouchers.
BOA Bank General Manager (Business
Development) Wasia Mushi said the campaign was aimed at promoting the
saving culture among the people in the country.
“We introduced this campaign as a way of
promoting the culture of saving among Tanzanians. We all know that it
is important for people to have a habit of saving part of their
incomes,” Mr Mushi said.
He said the campaign attracted about 1,600 customers. BoA has a network of 20 branches, 10 of them are located in Dar es Salaam.
Others are in Arusha, Mwanza, Moshi,
Morogoro, Turiani, Mbeya, Mtwara, Tunduma and Kahama. He said the bank
plans to open six more branches this year.
