AaramShop, an Indian online retailer, plans to expand to Kenya in partnership with local players.

Customers buy the goods online or through their mobile phones and have the goods dropped at their home or offices. Payment is on delivery.

“We would test the limits of our technology in new markets such as Nairobi in East Africa, Vietnam and Indonesia in South-East Asia and even the UAE through the franchise model.
“There would be no equity participation and it would be an asset-light model run through franchises,” AaramShop chief executive Vijay Singh is quoted saying in the Hindu Businessline.
