A boda boda operator was killed on the spot while three others
were seriously injured after an accident involving a saloon car,
motorcycle and a bicycle along the Bungoma – Mumias road on Thursday.
The saloon car is said to have hit the boda boda operator head on killing him on the spot and injuring his two customers.
County
Commissioner, Mohammed Maalim, said one person was critically injured
and is currently receiving treatment at the Bugoma County Hospital's
Intensive Care Unit.
The body of the deceased was taken to the hospital's mortuary.
The driver of the car is in custody and is helping police with investigations.
Mr
Maalim said drivers need to be careful on the roads during this festive
season and warned that drunk drivers would face prosecution.
