It is a new year and a new chapter for many artistes in the showbiz industry that seems to be metamorphosing every day.
Last year saw a good number of artistes ‘getting saved’ and seamlessly transforming from secular to gospel artistes.
So who exactly ‘saw the light’ in 2013?
SIZE 8 (Linet Munyali)
She hit the industry with a bang few years ago when she released the song ‘Size 8’ that went on to be a great hit and won her many admirers.
With the single, Size 8 notched a name of her own among the secular artists and she never disappointed any time she went back to the studio recording some awesome songs like ‘Moto’,  ‘Vidonge’ among others.

Size 8 decided to give her life to Christ at the end of 2012 and further stamped this in  2013 with her first gospel single ‘Mateke’.

Despite all the criticism against her move, she remained strong as the hit song tore the flesh of many that later saw her win her first gospel tittle at the Kubamba Awards.
She is currently riding high with the another single ‘Moto’ and has also been featured in Hope Kid remix ‘Holiday’.
DNG (Davidson Ngibuini)
He is best known for his voice as a hype man blessed with the ability to move a crowd when an Emcee. Davidson in the wake of last year was the first artiste who chose to walk the path to righteousness and made the news public.

Even though it came with a cost of shaving his trademark dreadlock to signify his re-birth, it is no doubt that he felt that, that was the right thing for him to do.
This is not the first time that DNG has declared salvation. What remains to be seen is whether he sticks to this path this time round.
BAMBOO (Simon Kimani)
Simon is among the pioneers of hip hop music in the country and is well known for his beef with other artistes like Octopizzo with whom he later made peace with.
However in the wake of September 2013, he chose to be re-born again for the second time in his life after backsliding few years back.

Since then he has remained strong using his social accounts Facebook and Twitter to spread the word of God.
A few weeks ago he claimed that God had given him a new name and he is to be called ‘Abraham’.
LADY BEE (Bernice Nduku)
Once among the Calif Angels, Lady Bee decided to give her life to Christ in 2011 but had to wait for two years to release her first gospel song John 3:16.

The song that is derived from the book of John in the Bible has been an inspiration and a life testimony in which she speaks of her overcoming struggles.
Q-TASI (Kevin Obuya)
Q-Tasi of the ‘Narudi Ocha’ fame found out how 'life is too short for human kind' when he lost his beloved father late last year.
That was his turning point as he chose to walk in the light for the remaining years of his life by making sure he serves his God through gospel songs.
He is yet to release any single but he has also been featured in the Holiday remix done by Hope Kid.
