Dubai-based airline, Emirates, has announced special holiday packages for shopping enthusiasts planning to attend this year’s Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF).

As part of the annual festival, the airline will offer three-night accommodation packages targeting more than 50 participating hotels.

“Emirates has chosen the many participating hotels to showcase the best the city has to offer during the 2014 shopping festival,” the airlines’ marketing manager, Mr Stephen Kisaka said in a statement.

The shopping festival, which is being held from January 2 to February 2, has grown to become one of the most anticipated shopping and entertainment events internationally.

Dubai is globally renowned for its vast selection of retail stores comprising 70 malls and more than 6,000 retail outlets, including Dubai Mall, the world’s largest shopping centre.

Emirates operates double daily flights between Nairobi and Dubai and onwards to more than 135 destinations.
