Twenty five students in Makueni County and another 65 from Meru can now pursue their secondary education after they received scholarships from Equity Bank.
Under the Equity Group Foundation’s Wings To Fly initiative, the students will enrol in various Kenyan high schools.

According to Equity Branch Manager John Mwangi, the bank offered 25 slots for Makueni County “because of the high level of poverty in the area”.
Beneficiaries will receive school fees, shopping and transport for the entire four-year period in secondary school, he added.
