The government has cautioned motorists
travelling between Mai-Mahiu and Narok following floods that have left
silt and debris on sections of the road.
Kenya
National Highways Authority (Kenha) said flooding around Mai Mahiu and
Suswa areas had rendered the road dangerous to motorists and other road
users.
“KeNHA would like to advise motorists to
exercise caution while driving along this road,” it said in a statement
sent to newsrooms Wednesday.
“Further, KeNHA advises
all motorists and road users in other parts of the country as well, not
to attempt to cross any flooded sections of the road, or any areas where
floods have over-ran the road surface.”
