It’s time to reflect back on your top golf moments

I know its not yet December, but I am winding down already. It is time to reflect on my top 10 golf moments of 2013? What would I like to do more of?

As it turns out, some of those moments, came back to back at the Windsor Golf and Country Club during a Barclays Bank-sponsored Charity event a week ago.

I was playing, courtesy of Tom Gitogo, the CEO of Pan Africa Life, who had joined Barclays Bank in supporting “Lighting up Kenya” using solar technology.

Back to my dream run —only the par-five 12th, I found the apron after two great blows with my driver and 5-wood. But a three-putt unfortunately denied me birdie.

On the par-3 14th, I hit a sweet little 9-iron to within an inch of the cup. And on one of the most beautiful golf holes in Kenya, the dogleg-right par-4 14th that plays over a huge river ravine, I hit a tantalising 3-wood off the tee and found the green with a controlled 8-iron for another birdie.

If only golf was like this every day. So, those two events form part of my Top-10 golf moments and the memories will continue to influence my game.

So what have been your Top-10 golf moments? Do you remember that putt, or that bunker shot that just came out right? Or a huge driver on a par-4 that found the green for double eagle.
Did you make a hole-in-one, or an eagle or albatross on the par-fives?

Whatever those moments are, write them down and remember them—your golf game needs good happy memories. On the international tours, Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson continued to dominate the news through the year. However, there were some unexpected names in the headlines.

Remember the 14-year-old eighth grader from China? Tianlang Guan was assessed a stroke penalty at the Masters and still made the cut. But what was top referee John Paramor thinking. This was the first time a penalty stroke was being assessed on the PGA Tour since 1995.

Then there was Rory McIlroy who changed to Nike and misery followed. And of course there is Henrik Stenson who dominated golf on both the PGA Tour and European Tour winning the FedEx Cup and Race to Dubai .

Tiger Woods went through his fifth season without a Major victory, but he is also firmly on top of the Official World Golf Rankings.

This weekend, look back to your top moments in golf, they will prepare you for your next round of the game more positively.
