Improve your performance, CEOs urged

More efforts are needed in senior management levels of organisations in order to improve performance and income, a local representative of the world’s global professional services firm has said.

Speaking to reporters yesterday in Dar es Salaam, Immaculate Mwaluko, Client Partner of Franklin Covey Tanzania Limited said at the moment the performance of many local firms was at average.

“I can say at the moment the performance is 50 percent in all companies, but more efforts are needed to increase the percentage so as to make them improve performance and income,” she said.

She said many companies are facing various challenges such as poor productivity, delay of salaries and poor relations between workers and management.

In a move aimed at improving performance of various companies, the company through NFT consult has acquired a license to provide world renowned improvement training through Franklin Covey which is based in the UK.

She said the training to be held on 12th and 13th November this year in Dar es Salaam would attract over 200 firms and chief executives officers of various organisations and their heads of departments.

Kory Korgan, who is the global productivity practice leader at Franklin Covey, will give keynote speeches at both events.

“We will start with the one day tailor-made training for CEOs where they will be learning various techniques of improving performance because they are final decision makers. This will be followed by marketing events on the five choices of extraordinary productivity,” she said.

She noted that the marketing event will be open to persons in positions of responsibility over their teams.

Based on 30 years of experience in productivity and recent partnership with leading doctors and brain scientists, we have identified the five key choices that will equip people with these critical skills in the 21st century.

She said that “it is about getting the right things done without burning out.”
According to her, Franklin Covey training originated from best seller book 7 titled 7 Habits of Highly Effectively People which has sold over 30 million copies.

Currently, it provides product and services through professional consulting services, as well as public and in-house training programmes delivered by their team of certified facilitators.
