Leaders should stop commenting on ICC

President Kenyatta and his deputy Ruto should be reminded that it is illegal for them to make persistent comments on the ICC case in rallies.
When one has a case in a court of law, he or she is prohibited from commenting or discussing merits or demerits of the very case in public — the sub judice rule.
It is, therefore, unprocedural for both the accused to comment on this very sensitive case, as these might be used against them in the dreaded ICC courts at The Hague
.
The consequences of this case are far-reaching. One expects the two leaders to be thoroughly briefed on the risks to avoid belittling the ICC as the consequences might harm us.
